The ticket booking application is offline, but train services are reportedly running as normal.

On March 24, 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine’s national railway operator, reported that the Kyiv station’s IT systems had been targeted by a “massive” cyberattack, allegedly launched the previous day by Russia.

The attack took down the online ticket booking application. However, train services remain operational and are reportedly running on schedule. Ticket counters are still functioning, with priority given to passengers traveling in the coming days.

Ukrzaliznytsia described the incident as a “systemic” attack but did not provide further technical details. Ukrainian intelligence services are currently working to restore the systems using backup data.
