Asahi, the Japanese alcoholic-beverage giant, provided an update on November 27, 2025, regarding the ransomware attack it suffered in September 2025. The incident had forced the company to halt production, orders, and deliveries, as well as shut down its call centers. After two months of remediation, the situation remains problematic. The group was able to restart its production lines in October, processing orders manually using paper and fax.

Deliveries are gradually resuming, but full restoration of the online ordering system is not expected before February 2026. Asahi also acknowledged that the cyberattack exposed the personal data of 1.5 million individuals, including customers, employees, former employees, and external partners.

The group additionally announced that it would not publish its financial results—annual or quarterly—until the situation has been stabilized.
