Yarin Eski is a criminologist and an assistant professor in Public Administration at the Knowledge Hub Security and Social Resilience (KVV) of the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. His expertise includes include theoretical and empirical papers on (maritime) security, ethnography, professional identities, socio-cultural aspects of policing, the use of force and accountability, biography, the arms dealing, illegal drug trafficking, corruption, undermining of democracy, genocide and existentialism.
