David Colon : “The psychological dimension of cyber operations is too often underestimated”
Professor and researcher at Sciences Po Paris, and author of “La Guerre de l’information”, David Colon explains that war is no longer waged solely in physical space, but also in cyberspace.
It pits democratic states against “authoritarian” regimes. Against this backdrop of multiple battlefields, several questions arise: to what extent is cybercrime used to gather data for interstate information warfare? What criteria are used to determine whether or not a cyber-attack falls within the scope of information warfare?
What role does cybercrime play in the war of influence? Do cyberattacks damaging information systems exist for the sole purpose of influencing political decisions? How does the autonomy of Russian cyberspace benefit Russia?
