We are delighted to participate in the 2019 edition of the International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC), which has grown year after year to become a major event for reflection and exchanges aiming to promote a European vision of cybersecurity. In the wake of the high threat level observed in 2018, marked by the preparation of the future cyber conflicts, it is more than ever necessary to get organised collectively to guarantee the development of a stable and trustworthy cyberspace.
One of the lessons of recent years is the importance of the role to be played by private stakeholders, public actors and civil society, and their shared responsibility in integrating security at the right level. The FIC – a highly federating event – will be a great opportunity to promote the culture of debate on cybersecurity between the various stakeholders.
The challenge for 2019 will be to design and roll out together the most relevant tools to organise this collective defence of information systems against growing threats. Training; detection of attacks; establishment of international rules and standards, such as the European certification: all these are issues and challenges that must be tackled in 2019.
Finally, 2019 is a special year for ANSSI – the French National Cybersecurity Agency – which is celebrating its tenth anniversary. These ten years have enabled the agency to be at the heart of cyberspace as a national, technical and strategic authority, and to now focus on consultancy, supervision and intervention assignments. This past decade has confirmed the relevance of the French cybersecurity model and is now enabling us to collectively reflect on the digital trust of tomorrow.
In 2019, let us all be connected, involved and responsible!
