[InfoSecururity] Survey says: 96% of organizations experienced a major security incident last year

ForeScout Technologies released a Cyber Defence Maturity Report in which it surveyed 1500 IT security professionals to shed light on new incident and violation trends, as well as IT security management capabilities, deficiencies and planned investments. The researchers discovered 96% of organizations questioned had a serious security incident in the past 12 months, and one in six had 5 or more serious incidents. With regard to control practices, 54% of the respondents were confident their security situation would improve over the next 12 months. The top five security technologies perceived to have the best interoperability value were firewalls, anti-malware, network access controls, mobile device management, and advanced threat detection.
