According to a security tracker conducted by Ipsos Reid, American businesses are reprioritizing cybersecurity and decreasing their investment in the destruction of confidential information. This signifies a major behavioral shit as it marks the first decline since the Ipsos Reid security tracker was implemented in 2011. The tracker discovered 86% of upper management is aware of the risks yet only 20% have ordered security audits. Moreover, half of small business owners do not have a protocol for storing or destroying sensitive information.
