The American consulting giant is thereby strengthening its expertise in cybersecurity and its presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

The American consulting firm Accenture announced on August 14, 2025, the acquisition of the Australian cybersecurity company CyberCX for 1 billion Australian dollars (€550 million). This is the group’s largest acquisition in the field of cybersecurity. The transaction addresses a finding established by the consulting giant itself: the majority of Australian companies are poorly prepared for the digital transformations ahead.

Based in Melbourne, CyberCX was created in 2019 through the merger of a dozen cybersecurity firms owned by BGH Capital. The Australian company provides consulting, digital transformation, managed services, incident response, and crisis management. With 1,400 employees, it is one of the leaders in cybersecurity in the Asia-Pacific region.
