Incognito Market’s owners pull an exit scam, and threaten to publish vendor and buyer information unless they are paid.

Incognito Market, a dark net marketplace specialized in the sale of narcotics has been threatening, since March 10, 2024, to publish its users’ transactions and messages. On March 6, 2024, the black market operators had already closed users’ crypto accounts, and withdrawn all their funds.

We have accumulated a list of private messages, transaction info and order details over the years. You’ll be surprised at the number of people that relied on our ‘auto-encrypt’ functionality. And by the way, your messages and transaction IDs were never actually deleted after the ‘expiry’,” reads Incognito Market’s homepage. The platform fully stands by its exit scam.

Its owners thus claim to be in possession of details for 557,000 orders and 862,000 crypto transaction IDs. They are threatening to release the information at the end of May 2024, unless users pay them between 100 and 20,000 dollars, depending on the significance of the transactions. “And yes, this is an extortion!!!!,” claim the cybercriminals.
Incognito Market is far from being an isolated case. “The truth of dark net marketplaces? ALL of them are exit scams. The only question is whether law enforcement can shut down the marketplace and arrest its operators before the exit scam takes place,” thus claimed Brett Johnson, a convicted and reformed cybercriminal.
