The pro-Russian hacktivist group NoName067(16) launched a series of DDoS attacks on March 10, 2025, targeting French local authorities—regions, departments, and municipalities. These attacks temporarily took several websites offline. Among the affected entities were the departments of Loire-Atlantique, Bouches-du-Rhône, and Doubs, as well as the municipalities of Levallois-Perret, Le Mans, and Dunkirk.
The targeted websites were restored during the day, with no reported damage to the information systems of the affected authorities. NoName067(16) stated that it targeted France in response to recent statements by Emmanuel Macron. The French president reaffirmed his commitment to creating a European armed force and supporting Ukraine in its conflict against Russia, despite the withdrawal of the United States.
