Russia emerges as the main suspect.

On February 2, 2025, Poland’s Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski, announced that Polish cybersecurity services had detected unauthorized access to the IT infrastructure of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA). “As part of this incident, the attacked systems have been secured. Intensive operational activities are also underway to identify the perpetrators of the cyberattack,” he added.

POLSA confirmed that a cybersecurity incident had occurred. The agency stated that it had disconnected its network from the Internet to secure its data. Polish authorities have not officially attributed the attack, but Russia is the main suspect. On January 15, 2025, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk had already accused Moscow of planning acts of sabotage targeting countries worldwide, including Poland.
