The attack caused operational disruptions for several companies in the United Kingdom and the United States, including Starbucks, Bic, and grocery chains.

On November 21, 2024, American supply chain software provider Blue Yonder disclosed that it had fallen victim to a ransomware attack. According to the company, the incident disrupted its “hosted managed services environment” but did not affect its cloud services or data. However, the attack had operational consequences for some of its 3,000 enterprise customers across 76 countries.

Most of the disruptions occurred in the United Kingdom and the United States. Several major grocery chains experienced significant failures in their warehouse or inventory management systems. The attack also impacted Starbucks’ payroll management software in the U.S., forcing managers to calculate employee wages manually. Meanwhile, pen manufacturer Bic reported delays in its shipping operations.

As of now, the ransomware attack has not been claimed or attributed to any specific cybercriminal group.
