France took part in this international military cybersecurity competition but failed to secure a podium finish.

South Korea’s military Cyber Operations Command (COC) announced on November 2, 2026, that its team had won the CyberNet 2026 international military cybersecurity competition. Held from October 26 to 29 in Oldebroek, the Netherlands, the seventh edition brought together military units from nine countries, including Germany, Estonia, France, Japan, the Netherlands and Poland.

After finishing second in the inaugural edition in 2021, South Korea has won every subsequent competition. The French team failed to reach the podium in 2026, with Poland and Estonia taking second and third place respectively.

“By winning this competition for the fifth consecutive year, we have been able to demonstrate our capabilities and excellence in cyber operations to the world,” said COC chief Bae Song-yeong.
