Thales strengthens its cooperation with Microsoft Azure and joins MISA

On 1 October 2021, Thales announced a strengthening of its collaboration with Microsoft Azure, in particular through the deployment of an integrated security monitoring solution based on Microsoft Azure SaaS Sentinel.

Thales delivers large-scale mission-critical systems for avionics, ground transportation, space, defence, and industry. It does so in IT and OT environments using industry-leading OT cloud systems such as Azure Defender for IOT.

Thales will also join the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), which brings together independent software vendors (ISVs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs).

While Thales will join MISA as an MSSP, it is one of the few members of the association to also be an ISV (which it became in 2019). By joining the leading ecosystem of security specialists, Thales is strengthening the capacity of its Security Operations Centre (SOC) to defend complex IT/OT systems against sophisticated attacks.
