Despite trade embargoes that prevent the transfer of Western technology, North Korea is rapidly keeping up with cyber capabilities from around the world to possibly soon rival western information systems. The report, released by HP, was difficult to create due to the limited intelligence that comes out of the ‘Hermit Kingdom’. Nonetheless, the country is still able to train cybersecurity experts, and for the time being, is outsourcing its cyber campaigns to hackers in other countries including China, Russia, the United States and South Korea.
