The two partners aim to combat AI-assisted digital identity fraud.

On January 29, 2025, the Dutch deepfake detection specialist DuckDuckGoose announced a partnership with the Brazilian bank Banco Daycoval. Their goal is to fight AI-generated digital identity fraud, a type of scam that is particularly widespread in Brazil. According to DuckDuckGoose, digital identity fraud, across all platforms, has increased by 400% over the past two years.

Specifically, Banco Daycoval has integrated the Dutch company’s DeepDetector solution into its KYC processes. By detecting deepfakes in real-time, this technology ensures a high level of security in the bank’s identity verification procedures.

“Banco Daycoval’s proactive approach demonstrates exceptional vigilance against today’s most sophisticated fraud threats. (…) We are proud to work with such a forward-thinking institution to protect the financial ecosystem in Brazil,” commented Parya Lotfi, CEO of DuckDuckGoose.
