Atos division specialized in AI, cloud, big data and cybersecurity thus hoping to generate extra 2.6 billion euros in income over five years.
At the end of January, Eviden, the Atos branch dedicated to AI, the cloud, big data and cybersecurity, announced that it was strengthening its strategic partnership with Microsoft. The two companies intend on developing new solutions for industries, particularly cloud transition and data management.
Eviden and Microsoft will create several co-innovation centers in generative AI, relying on Azure OpenAI, Microsoft’s AI-accelerated cloud. Back in October 2023, Eviden had launched a support solution for large companies wishing to get started in generative AI.
“The joint development of accelerators for common businesses (…) in key sectors” should, according to Eviden, generate 2.8 billion dollars (2.6 million euros) in additional revenue over the next five years.
In the summer of 2022, Atos announced its intention of splitting into two entities: Eviden, and Tech Foundations, which will incorporate its traditional IT facilities management businesses. Since the beginning of 2024, the IT giant has been in talks with Airbus to sell its BDS (big data and cybersecurity) division, itself a part of Eviden.
